Richard spent his childhood years in Texas (Dallas and Houston) and then moved to Southern California at the beginning of High School. He attended Revelle College at UC San Diego and graduated with a degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. As a post-graduate for three years after college, he was involved in molecular and biochemical research at the La Jolla Cancer Research Foundation. During those years, he enjoyed his work, the San Diego lifestyle, and competing in triathlons. He then went on to medical school in Chicago where he graduated at the top of his class, after which he then returned to Southern California (Huntington Beach) and completed his internship and radiology residency at UC Irvine. For his specialty training, Richard then did a fellowship in Interventional Radiology (minimally invasive image guided procedures) in Washington DC where he learned from the best and brightest leaders within the field. Since returning to California, he has performed thousands of minimally invasive procedures here in the central valley at DMC Modesto and at Emanual Medical Center in Turlock. With 20 years of experience, he provides the leadership and skillsets that are needed for directorship of our Medical Spa and for the safety and satisfaction of our clients.

Alyssa grew up in Central California, waitressing jobs for 10 years while attending Stanislaus State University and Modesto Junior College for her pre-requisites, and then entered the nursing program at Merced Junior College. She started her nursing career at Emanuel Medical Center working as a day shift float pool RN before given the opportunity to train and work in the Cardiovascular Services and Interventional Radiology department, where she then became a STEMI nurse for over five years. She developed a desire for the world of aesthetics and wellness, and with the help and support of her partners, Richard and Janet Haak, she became the founder of HydroGlo, LLC. Her passion to help others from the inside out has been her driving force to pursue this dream.

Janet is a Southern California girl, having grown up in Long Beach. She went to Long Beach City College and entered the nursing program. After earning her BS in nursing from Cal State Dominguez, she worked for 10 years in the surgical, neuro-critical and cardiovascular intensive care units at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. There, she gained invaluable broad-based clinical experience, and she developed the technical skills needed for the treatment and management of a wide variety of patients with severe illness. Since Long Beach, Janet has become a mother of three and also worked in VA outpatient GI endoscopy, Memorial Hospital ICU and Stanislaus Surgical Hospital. Throughout her career, she has held a very high standard for patient care and satisfaction. Her dedication to helping people in need, her interpersonal skills and her soft touch have made her a highly valued and sought out member of our local medical community. She is a certified aesthetic injector and cofounder of HonuNani, Inc. which, through partnership with HydroGlo, is dedicated to bringing wellness and youthful vitality to our community. Janet is part of our amazing HydroGlo team and eager to help our clients achieve their aesthetic needs and desires.
